Since nobody is responding to my WTBuy or WTBorrow thread about an 1801 or 2001 yoke so I can test a couple chassis'... :(

Does anyone know what specifically is going bad on these things? I don't see any physical damage - otherwise I'd take a stab at repairing it like I did with a 5515 yoke.

I found another slim-neck yoke from a different monitor that gives me the same readings as the red-tent yoke (H=5.4 V=15.5). I tried using it and don't get the distorted image, but the entire picture seems to have a ripple along all the lines so that you can't read any words or see anything clearly. Sometimes it barely clears up, but won't stay like that. I don't know if it's because I have the Sharp chassis mounted on a separate frame from the tube frame? I'm using a 19" K7000 tube, so the degauss connector isn't connected. I don't think that would cause the shimmy/interference. I connected the dag wire to the metal frame that the chassis is on, since I didn't see a spot on the neckboard. I did connect a ground jumper from the frame to the neckboard but it didn't help.

And if anyone has a GOOD yoke I can buy or borrow, please let me know...
