The repro thread (Marquee and CPO) had me wondering about a few things with this game.
I played the Atari 2600 port untill I was almost blind, and would love to find a cab for the new gameroom.
I think the art and bezel are fantastic and remind me of a "poor mans Star Wars", what a
frickin SWEET cab!
Anyways, here are the questions I have, please forgive me if they have been asked before, the search doesnt always work that great from my phone.

1. I heard there are two board versions, an Atari, and a Namco...are they interchangable?
2. Is Xevious 3dg also interchangeable? It looks like a sweet game and would love to pick one up and run it in this cab as well.
3. Price...I dont see alot of love for this game (any of the Xevious series) does price depend on which version of the board ( atari/namco)
4. Anyone near Southeast Michigan have one for sale?

Thanks for the info guys

I got lucky and found a non working one on craigslist for $50 bucks. I fiddled with it a bit and could not get it to come to life then I had a great idea. I bought a 48-1 off a KLOV member adn had an extra JAMMA wiring harness and power supply and put those in the Xevious cabinet. Since the 48-1 has Xevious on it a nd now I get to play all the classics too. All the original guts are still inside the cabinet if I ever decide to mess with it again. I did have to put another monitor in the game becaseu the original Xevious monitor was junk. Here are a few pictures

xevious can usually be had in the $200 - $300 range.. Boardset is a bit flakey...

xevious 3dg is pretty rare. not compatible with xevious. I don't think the namco or atari versions are compatible either, but I don't much about them.

If you want really rare, look for Solvalou...

not only is Xevious a unique pinout and Xevious 3DG a JAMMA game, but the original is single-player and vertical unlike the newer game which is two-player simultaneous and horizontal.

3DG is pretty cool, both similar to and an improvement on the original. i have [an already converted] Sarge cabinet in my garage awaiting my attentions to clean it up and put my 3DG board in there.

Awesome cabinet, game is a bit boring. Check out solvalou think I spelled it right.. its a sequel and a cockpit. Like playing xevious in 3d and its in make to check out.

Xevious 3DG is a vertical shooter. It takes the original and makes it into a modern day shooter with different power ups and mother ships. Still has the hidden silos and a one up flag if you make it far enough into the game.

Its a vertical shooter yes, but played on a horizontal monitor so no interchagable with the Xevious cab.

Namco and Atari PCBs are completely different, the Namco version is a two layer jobbie and quite rare.

It is on the Namco Classics 1 JAMMA board. They have 2 versions, classic and an enhanced version. I just got a working one in a cabinet I'm converting to run a 60n1. It also comes with a regular and enhanced version of Mappy and Galaga. I also have a non-working one. Now that I have a working one to compare it to, I'll have to see what it would take to fix it.

Non working what? Namco Classics or Xevious?

I've repaired one each of the Vol 1 and Vol 2 classics.

No. That's the Legend of Zelda theme.
