Hey all!

My xenon shoots out both balls. I've checked the swithces, they are fine, both
the microswitch and the leaf under the pf (the two that feels the balls)

Any thoughts?

Thanks!!

Also check the tube switch (the one where it catches the ball)... if that switch is making contact the system will think there is a ball in there...

Hi!

I have two balls in the game.

All switches are OK. I checked them, and also used the switch test.

I'm using an Ultimate MPU by the way...if that's important

Thanks!

Nicholas

Thanks!:)

I'll try to get rid/change that cap tomorrow(too late now, will wake up the wife:))

However, he states that his problem wasn't all the time...mine is.

But it may work:)

Other things it could be? Maybe there's something obvious

Hey!

I tried removing the cap from the rollover switch after the tube, didn't help.

Then I put a diode on the microswitch in the ball through(there wasn't one to begin
with) didn't work either..I tried it both ways.

I also seem to have a little popbumper confusion...the lower bumper is hit, and the
middle one fires:)

*sigh* :)

(the pop bumper problem is fixed - that was something else)

The game still shoots out both balls. I've changed the diodes on the outhole switch
and on the last switch before the plunger. No luck.

What am I going to do?:)

Well, now it doesn't shoot out both balls every time, but almost.

Sometimes, it also says "Enter Xenon" twice when starting a game??

Oh my god:)

2 bal

i had a prob like this on zenon, once 20 yrs ago, one 6 mo ago
in my case it was the fact that the ball trough sw and ball eject sw although working as well on mine, both needed to be adjusted for just the exact correct gap which is about the thickness of a dime, after that was done it worked right (also applies to tube lock sw, and upper hole sw)
you want enough gap so it can not close due to vibration or bounce, but be close enough to get a positive close when the ball really is there, tricky as there is no margin for error or anything diff, in fact either to wide or to close and you get those kind of probs

Hey!

I'm really sure that the switches are OK:(

Well, another thing is that there seem to be a LONG delay when I press the start button
before the game starts...sometimes the game starts right away, sometimes there's
a delay up to 20 secs!

Everything is going wrong now:(

...and now the start button doesn't work at all. Neither do the coin drop microswitch

I've been through so much with this machine, but these kinds of problems really
test me.

You have a misadjusted switch... the switch matrix on these machines don't deal well with multiple switches being pushed.

(The coin door seems to rok OK now, but it's still dealyed at times)

When you say misadjusted switch, what do you mean? I've tested all of them in
test mode, they seem very OK.

Should I begin changing all the diodes on switches? I have some 1N4004, can these be
used?

Also, when in test mode, I try to reach #18 so I can set the sound to 3, but I can't get
there...it only seem to switch between 4 and 8 on the credit/match-display

Thanks again:)

Have you fixed this yet?

I had some wierd problem on my Xenon, and it was the switch under the ball catch from the tube. OK

I'm sure you have already, but double check your Ultimate MPU settings.
Xenon 00011100

Doubt this would have anything to do with your problem.

I guess I would check all of these along the Outhole kicker:
