Doesn't matter now...it was sold...
yes it does. people search for info all the time. if anything we should be adding to this thread
like
i look at the legs. they can tell you a lot. if they are rusty, maybe the machine was stored in a wet location which can lead to all kinds of electrical problems. if legs are rusty, i like to look at the hardware under the playfield for clues to a wet situation too.
i look at connectors everywhere i can. if there are brown spots that can warn you to an electrical problem and to a past electrical problem. one can use that as a talking point to try and get the pinball cheaper.
i like to look at the areas around pop bumpers. they wear out and can be an indicator of how well the machine was cared for.
i also look around the playfield inserts for wear, bubbling in the mylar and mylar lifting.
the PCB's in the backbox, what condition are they in ? any repairs be detected ? battery corrosion ? interconnect cables, wiring and connectors all look ok ? everything clean/dirty/dusty ?
how does the cabinet look ? faded ? corners splitting slightly ? legs wearing where they connect to the cabinet ? paint peeling, missing, rub marks, previous touch ups ?
i like to look at as much as possible to help me determine the condition of machine to establish worth.
i'd like to say hello to all who are searching for information !
