*SOLD* XENON & SORCERER pinball - "project" or "parts" (Southern California)

*SOLD*

I have a Xenon pinball game with a trashed playfied which I would like to see go to a good home in one piece rather than parted out if possible. Not to make the game sound horrible but I do want everyone to understand what they are getting. This clearly falls under "project" or "parts".

The pinball could be restored but this Xenon is worth far more dead than alive.

Backglass is good
Boards are all good except the HV is out (needs transistor - confirmed)
I believe a new 5101 cmos static ram was installed - or I will include one NOS
7 (4x) digit displays work (confirmed)
6 (1x) digit display needs a new HV cap (confirmed - caused the HV to go)
Cabinet is serviceable but paint is dry and colors are off
Playfield has excessive paint wear and mostly complete (missing a few parts)

If there are no takers on the full game I will consider offers for the individual pieces.

12/2/2010 - Added Sorcerer to the mix

This one is non-working with a trashed playfield but I believe complete. Backglass is scratched. Full set of boards but MPU was worked on by previous owner. I picked this up in a trade and never did anything with it so I'm throwing it in with the XENON.

This doesn't sound like a parts game, but a perfect candidate for a CPR repro playfield swap and cabinet repaint. I hope someone gives this a proper restoration.

Yea, that was the original plan but I have other more pressing projects and can't really justify my time putting in a new playfield. The wife also likes newer (90's) pins so those are automatically bumped to the top of the priority list.

-- pin is still available --

Yea, but when she does NOT like one of the pins I hear nothing about games except the fact I should sell the pin she does NOT like and replace it with some LAME pin that I have no desire to have around the house. Catch 22.

If you get to the point where you're looking to part it... I could use the 6-digit display.

Will do. Lots of interest in parting the game but I am holding out hope one of the two locals comes through with a desire to slap in a new playfield. One way or another I expect to pass final judgement on the xenon over the weekend.

The Xenon for sale is the one in the middle.
Now stop PM'ing me for pics!

The Xenon and bonus Sorcerer have been sold. A local pinhead picked them up this evening. He assured me the Xenon would get some love and hopefully a new playfield. If anyone has a playfield shoot me a PM and I'll pass your contact info along to the buyer.

Thanks!

Good Guy Alert

I picked up the pins last night and I just wanted to let fellow KLOVers know what a great guy XRAY2 is! He is the kind of guy that makes this a fun hobby.

Xenon love

I just wanted to say that this machine is in my top 3 (really #1 as a collector/art piece), almost got one but the playfield was a repro decal, so I walked after renting a vehicle 2x and gas money :( First trip out there brought a few red flags up, glad I remembered to look at the playfield closely the 2nd time out... Sellers can sometimes be in a hurry or not have time and it makes it difficult..

Anyway, NICE MACHINES... I stumbled upon this thread and wanted to share in the Xenon love orgy of these beautiful machines.. Can't wait to get one...

Also, nice to see some pin user love and respect.. peace!
