I have been looking into both this evening, coincidently enough, and I plan to get both. The reviews have been great and the combat system in both games seems great. Furthermore I'm a huge RPG fan and while usually I favor games produced in the West, lately I've been getting a little sick of the sidequest driven, loot management proccupied, and poorly storied western offerings. Recently I got into both Skyrim and Kingdoms of Amalur...but in both cases I feel like I'm forcing myself to play through. 40 plus hours into both, and either the combat is wearing thin or the story and setting is becoming too generic. From what I've seen, both of the Wii offerings may be the best of both worlds; with a strong combat system and compelling stories. The music also sounds great. The only thing that concerns me is the length of the games. Xenoblade, allegedly, clocks in at 65-75 hours with even more time needed for all the side quests. With the kids/wife/job/life requirements that I have, getting through the games may become a part time job. but from what I've heard and seen it seems like a job I'd like to get.
Getting both.

Oh.....BTW just read that The Last Story will be a limited release in the US. Kinda like the Metroid Prime Trilogy on Wii (that is now selling for ridiculous money on ebay). With that in mind...I definitely recommend either pre-ordering it or picking it up close to launch.
