tossing a 360 in an arcade cab is highly recommended. lots of great arcade style games. i finally got my machine going again after finishing my garage and just got super meat boy. it's a great platformer perfect for an arcade machine. ikaruga is great, there is a final fight remake that is suppose to be pretty good, splosion man is good side scrolling 2 player fun. there are some fighters, marvel vs capcom 2, and of course street fighter 4. scott pilgrim vs the world is a good 1-4 player beat em up, along with castle crashers. the system is packed with great arcade style games. and it's a cheap project.

super meat boy is good fun, i've only played for an hour or so, i hear it gets hard but I like a challenge. N+ is another arcade style game that works well in a cabinet, along with bionic commando rearmed. i'm probably forgetting lots of others. it's great to have some fresh games in the cade and an easy way to get them.

I've also heard rumor that modded original xbox's are great, as they pretty much run their own version of mame. ;)

original xbox makes an AWESOME mame setup - my buddy had one in college - he even wired the CP from some generic control pads. It did have it's limits though, I don't know if the memory slowed it down or what, but all the classics played as flawless as they do in any MAME setup.

Don't forget the Dreamcast. I've got one in a horizontal and vertical cabinet. I've also just put a 360 in the vertical. I'm still messing around with them, so far I've just got shmups loaded up.
