i think someone posted this, or it was another site im thinking of. But yea. CAN'T wait. This game kicks ass. especially 6 player

Yeah, looks like it was posted in the general thread.

Update: it'll be here Tuesday for PSN and Wednesday for XBLA.

I'll be getting it for XBLA if anyone wants to get some online going sometime!

SO did you get this matt? I hear you can play 6 players locally but how is that possible with the system only having four quadrants?

6 could fit on the screen if it keeps everyone on screen at once, so no need to split into quadrants.

How could you play 6P when the system only recognizes 4 controllers is the better question.

X-Men Arcade was a sidescroller with all players locked into a part of the screen at the same time, so no splitscreen needed.

PS3 allows 6 players locally, Xbox Live allows only 4 locally. Both allow 6 players online.

I forgot about that. I've played Buzz on PS3 with 8P (4 wired controller, 4 wireless). Didn't think about that ability transferring over to other games... and initially I was only thinking about the xbox.

Wife just called and says she bought it for me,yay!!! WHo's up to playing tonight?

I might be, but I have a lot of work to do as well. My annual review is tomorrow so I gotta prepare!

Played through it twice tonight already. The achievements are a bit disappointing since you can get all of them but one after one playthrough if you have five people with you.

Still fun, though, and the port is nicely done. I think it's awesome that they made the aspect ratio the same as the dual screen 6-player cabinet version. Effing sweet.

The voices are different, but still sound pretty good and all the Engrish lines are intact, so no complaints here. At only $10, this is a freaking steal, in my opinion.

The only thing I could hope for is future DLC that adds an HD "skin" to up the graphics a bit (similar to how Super SFII HD was done as opposed to a full remake like that crappy TMNT release). Hell, they could even put them in their newer costumes.

Was it worth buying if I've got the 4 player version in my game room?

If you have people to play with online, then I'd say yeah. I have the 4 player version as well, but I rarely have people over to play it, so I figured it was worth $10.

Not worth the $10 IMO. It just didn't feel the same after all these years like it's missing something but I can't put my finger on what it is. I'm really blown that i can't get the multiplayer achievements because people keep leaving the game. You got that one idiot that always jumps into a game and won't move their character leaving everyone else to get missiles drop on them resulting in death. If your going to leave your character idle why join? Do we have enough people here with the game that we can get an online session going for achievment boosting? I want this game off my HD ASAP.

I'm down and have a friend or two that would probably be in for it. But "I want this game off my HD ASAP"? It's like 50MB or something.

I have the 6 player version and rarely have I had enough people over that want to play it (maybe this New Year's :)) so I'd buy the game for sure if I had an XBox 360 or PS3. Too bad they haven't released it for the Wii.
