I really want one of these, but I'm pretty sure there is no way it will fit into my basement arcade. I had to remove the CPO just to get my 4 player Simpsons down there (90* turn at the bottom of the stairs with a 31" door immediately to the right). So how far does the 6 player X-men cabinet break down? I'm fine with removing nails, screws, and bolts, but I don't want to start messing with panels that are stapled together...

I know this guy who has one in a tiny room in his house. but he removed a window to get it in..

It splits at the control panel. the rear half has a huge buldge out the back for one of the monitors. You could pull the monitor and the cover to shrink it down a bit.

But based on your description, no way you get it down there. Picture trying to move a 6ft couch down to that room. Now make that couch 6ft tall.

Getting a 6' couch down there wasn't easy, so there is no way it would work if it were 6' tall. So the cabinet itself isn't easily dissassembled? Bummer...

Can anyone else shed some light on the cabinet disassembly, or is Mr Bill right about how far the cabinet can break down?

here is some guys pics who was fixing the video. You can see inside the cabinet body that its is not made to come apart.

his 1st 2 pics show the board thats in the control section of the cabinet. its hinge mounted to rear section.

you might be able to get the control panel part into your basement in 1 piece, but you would have to pull apart the rear part of the cabinet to get it down there.. Pulling apart particle board cabinets especailly ones reinforced for 2 25" monitors as well as a mirror probably will end badly..

Damn, I was afraid of that. Well thanks for your help, you saved me a lot of time, effort, frustration, damage to my house, damage to a cabinet, etc.

I thought the 4 player still had the dual screen?

No it doesn't, there is on near me I can buy off a local op, but I am waiting to get a 6 player:
