I am looking to see what everyones experience has been with the audio on the 60 and 19-in-1 boards. The boards default very loud and there is a lot of static. I have been adjusting the main volume pot on the boards to start and then adjusting the volume down in the setup menu and it makes it ok. Still some games are louder then others and have static. I have not been replacing speakers in the cabinets and I am wondering if it would help if I were to have a better quality speaker then the 30 year old factory that is in a lot of these cabinets. But before I invest time and money to replace the speakers I wanted to see what others have been doing.

Those boards just sound crummy. They're bootlegs, running pirated ROMs. The emulation isn't even all that great on some of the games. So, yeah, some of the games sound terrible. Turning down the volume helps in some places, but you're never going to get it perfect. 1943 is still going to be raspy. It's not the speaker in the game.

The 48-in-1 and 60-in-1 boards are running a simple CPU driven DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) chip to create the audio. That's why they sound like ass.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I will keep on doing a little more fine tuning to fine an acceptable level for most games.
