If you guys could only get one, A Johnny Mnemonic that is 2 hours away (and could be picked up tonight) or a World Cup soccer that is 9 hours away and you would have to wait a while, what would you do?

I would post the price and condition. That's what I would do :)

That 9 hour drive would keep me away. I don't mind driving but forget that. I would go with WCS:94 personally. I like the game and grew up playing soccer and my wife's family really like Soccer so it might be the next pin I get regardless.

I love my WCS94. Paid 1600CAN in near mint shape, it had one broken LH sling plastic. No wear to be seen anywhere. The translite did have a hole cut in the bottom left for a counter.

We absolutely love ours and we're not even soccer fans or anything. It's one of the better affordable games out there IMO. It's a hit with kids too as they can just shoot for the goal if they want. It has an unlimited 5 ball multiball mode as well which is pretty fun, if you can get there :)

Haven't played Johnny enough to make a good assesment on it..sorry. But that's my 2 cents on WCS.

That is a nasty long drive though.

Thats 9 hours each way. I think that drive is going to keep me from ding it. HOnestly I shouldn't spend the gas money. And JOhnny Mnemonic seems really cool to. I really wish that WCS was closer though.

The Johnny is in good shape but does need to be shopped out.
It is 1250.

The WCS: can be seen here http://s38.photobucket.com/albums/e101/nedhill/

It is 1550.

Damn, when I sell my games I'm coming here first. ;) There was a JM for $450 and 2 WCS's for about $700 at a Superauction last year.

A dirty JM is a $700-800 game at most. Probably the same for WCS ...$1200 for a nice shopped one.

I wouldn't take a roadtrip like that unless it was an absolute bargain.

Try finding any pins up in western Canada. Price depends on availibility :) There are hardly any for sale up here period. Plus alot of guys have to travel to the states and that adds to the price when resold.

I wish everyone shared your feelings on price. Point me to any 700-800 DMD pins w/in a 2 hr drive from me.

It's not about feelings, it's just my experiences. Is Indiana's pin supply dried up? I'd imagine the midwest would have tons of pins.

At the end of the day, a game like JM isn't in demand....it's not a "grail" game or anything...so, it shouldn't be too hard to find cheap. Actually - that auction that had the $450 JM actually had TWO of them! I think the other went for $400!

WCS is an incredible game. Fantastic and fun. Johnny Mnemonic fucking blows, if you ask me. That stupid glove totally ruins any flow, plus the theme sucks.

With WCS, you don't even have to like soccer to get into it.

WOW it sounds like I need to hit up that auction! Fact is here in northern utah its pretty slow and prices are high because of it I think. There is just not a ton of pins around it seems. I think johnny looks pretty fun. I really like it on Visual Pinball so i am gunna go play it tonight and decide. Sounds like that WCS got sold out from under me. Thanks guys!!

I'll keep looking as usual, but here in Southern IN is a little operation known as Treasurecove. I'm sure Allen has connections all over to snatch up the DMD pins so he can resell.

Oh yikes! Yeah, it's definitely hard to compete w/ the flippers. We have a couple in So Cal who stalk craigslist and ebay...so it feels like a real accomplishment when I find a bargain and actually GET it!

I picked her up for CONSIDERABLY less than what it was listed for. Thanks mostly to you guys! I pulled up this thread and showed the seller hehehehehehehehehe... I hope that wasn't rude.

ARGH!!! Son of a B($*($ LOL i pick up Johnny Mnemonic and then today a nice WCS is listed close by! DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well I guess it is much more $ than what I got. Have fun JAR!
