WWPD? (What Would Phet Do)

Why not find some aluminum right angle metal to bolt to the bottom. It should hide the damaged area and prevent any further damaga. And you could always paint it white to match. 3/4" on each side of the right angle should work. Of course, I'm no Phet, but that's what I would do if it bothered me.

Matrix beat me to it. The aluminum gives it a nice defiined edge and protects against additional damage. When plywood is left down on concreate there is inevitably chipping and delaminating that occurs. The aluminum stops that.

My cabinet has the exact same problem around the bottom and a few places on the sides. I started getting really nutty by going to craft stores looking for ways to restick the decal edges without painting anything. I even let a person talk me into something called mod podge or something. No luck in a very small area -- it peeled back up. So, it went between two games and the problem went away. I got the machine with really bad burn in (Pole Position GAME OVER no less) and the red gun was acting up so I put in a new Kortek from arcadeshop and it looks great. Now, my Gaplus PCB is acting up so I have larger problems. Instead of the three zeros on boot, one number is a three. Cleaned and reseated and no luck.

Tighe do you want to sell your extra Gaplus PCB outright instead of a trade? :)

So you don't have a Galaga '88 board? :D Make me an offer, I will consider it. What I really want is a Galaga '88 board, if you have a working Baby Pac Viviot of MPU board that would be a good trade too. Also CPS2 boards.

I am going to post pictures after I fix this.

Phet would buy it a drink, spend the next 1/2 hour sneaking sips off that same drink, slip in some roofies, make a comment that if it didn't finish the drink he would, and then take the incoherent Gaplus home and do horrible things to it.

Then he'd wonder why such a ridiculously small defect would bother anyone except Chris!

I am a firm believer that original art is special, even if scratched or missing 1/4." It's ORIGINAL. Repro looks nice, but is not original. Ya know what I mean?
