I am anticipating a purchase of a wurlitzer juke box. 45 record player. I realize all mechanical items need cleaning and old grease removed and such. I am concerned regarding the arm sometimes not moving and only playing one side of the record. I do not have any other info on it other than wurlitzer 72. Let me know some pointers on it.
Thank you

I did find the model, wurlitzer 2204 jukebox.

get ready

Get ready to become a juke tech or spend alot of money on one. The items of your concern are not a big deal not trying to scare you. You are on the right track clean real well and relubercate you will find tiny funnels on the mech to add oil and check for worn springs. Then it falls on making adjustments, for as long as you own the machine LOL these electrical mechanical jukeboxes need constant care as something always needs adjustment buy the manual it is well worth it when it comes to trouble shooting. Love them don't get me wrong but it's like owning a pinball machine it will fail.

The brushes in the DC motor running the mechanism wear out and need to be replaced. Also, on the amplifier is a huge selenium rectifier that provides the DC power for that motor. The rectifier could be failing under a load.
