I'm in the San Antonio Texas area and I'm not having much luck finding a technician to repair my Wurlitzer Statesman 3400. My father passed this along to me and it was working for the longest time. It worked up until a few years ago. He recently passed it to me and I've not done anything intrusive to it but have only pulled the back off to see if my IT (routing/switching/voip) skills would transfer to trying to fix this.

Not so much.

The mechanism spins but the carousel will not spin. It did out of the blue and played a record but when I changed the selection (pressed B 6) it just all stopped working again. Eventually it started back up and I held cancel down on the back and everything went back to their respective places. However nothing will start up again.

I don't want to pull this thing apart and make it worse. I'm wondering if there is a resource here that may be able to help me search a bit better for a vendor to repair this in my area. I'd love to get this working before Christmas to show my dad. I used to play this thing all the time growing up and it means a lot to me to get it working again.

Thank you all for your time. Have a wonderful holiday season!

I don't know if you resolved this yet, but I had the same problem with my 3700. It turned out to be the "safety switch" mounted at the base of the record lift arm. This switch is made when the arm is in the home position and if it isn't being set the carousel wont turn. I had a metal finger that was out of position and never hit the switch...

(DELETED) Wow I was tired last night. I posted in the wrong thread. Sorry about that.
