There is a Wirlitzer 3200 Americana locally for sale for $300. It works "but the selector switch needs work". I'm looking for a juke project. Is this worth the asking price?

It's sort of ugly... and I'm looking for REAL UGLY... so I am on the fence.

:D

It's nothing to write home about. Pretty ugly and plain Jane looking too.

If you can get the price down a bit then you've got yourself a project. The keyboard leaf switches were a problem I remember from the ones we had on location back in the day. Cleaning and adjusting those leaf switches are important. Manuals can be bought from Victory Glass or if you go on ebay, look for seller, "jeffwager".

Very important: The ballasts for the fluorescent lights will be found to be leaking PCB's. There was one located above the amplifier which was always leaking onto and into the amplifier. You can clean that crap up with lighter fluid & paper towels. Be sure to wear solvent resistant gloves when doing this.

Certainly the amplifier will need new electrolytic capacitors by now.
