I just acquired this 1957 Wurlitzer 2104 jukebox. The turntable is engaged and there is a record in the turntable. When i plug the machine in and turn it on the turntable turns with the record. If i move the tone arm all the way down were the unit should reset and take the record back down to the carriage it does not. Also pressing the cancel button on the back of the machine does not make it cancel and reset. I have to figure out why this unit will not reset to home position before I can go any further. Anyone have any idea what could cause this? What I should be checking that would keep the machine in play mode all of the time? Thanks for any help.

Did you check the fuse for the mechanism power on the power supply? Start with the basics..

Thanks for the replies, I tested all of the fuses with a meter. Including the ones on the amp/power supply. The one on the selector unit. The one on the coin register mechanism. They all tested good. I have a manual now. The problem is I don't know if the machine is actually stuck in like play mode or if it is something else. It was this way when I got it. I did take the switch undone that the tone arm triggers. It seems to be working right. I will have to study the manual and try to figure out what could keep the machine in this condition. I am not real familiar with jukebox workings but am trying to learn. If anyone with more jukebox experience than me has anymore ideas please let me know. Thanks

I went to work on this again and realized the manual I bought is missing the pages from the 1900 and 2000 manuals that was suppose to be included in it. I bought the manual on Ebay. The description states that the 2104 did not have a dedicated manual. It was a basic manual for the 2104 with references to the 1900 and 2000 manuals and the manual they where selling was redone and included those pages. So I do not have any kind of sequence of operations right now. I have contacted them and hopefully they will make it right. This juke has set for a long time. So I wonder if the unit is locked up maybe and that is why it will not go back to home position. Is there a way I should be able to reset everything back to home position manually? Thanks
