Throwing this out if anyone within driving distance of Johnson City, TN might be interested.

I have a nice Tron that I would like to trade for a nice Mad Planets.

Tron has:
New monitor (have rebuilt original available)
Mostly new art, except for inner art. (I knew I'd screw it up)
New plastics
New CPO
New joystick (have nice original also)
Original + Encom marquee
Arcade Shop switching power supply + nice original

That is a VERY nice TRON. Wow. Looks great!

Good luck with your trade! Mad Planets is crazy fun!

I can vouch for this machine as well as all of Don's machines. I have seen this game in person. Its super-nice and even better than the pics(the repro art plastics from Phoenix arcade are really hard to do them justice with a digital camera). I have no doubt that it should bring 1400+ and is probably well worth a nice Mad Planets(only because I'm not 100% sure on what a Mad Planets goes for these days.) And Don is a real stickler for details.

And if the new owner doesn't get the plexi recognizer and cycle, I call dibs. ;)
Best of luck "Da Don"

Mad Planets = Epic!!! I turned down a crazy offer I probably should of accepted. However... I really think I'd miss it. Maybe a Nice Tron Pin or another modern pin could convince me to let her go!

mad planets

mad planets is very hard to come by, i waited 2 years to find mine and got very lucky when "djdns" sold his. although they might both fetch the same price, i dont think this is an easy trade to setup. good luck on your search i love my mp and would not sell it for 3000 cash in my hand!

I've been in the hobby for years and just found out about Mad Planets about a year ago.. Local guy had one shipped in.. Man, it's all out kickass! Great sound, cool cab, fast gameplay..

I'd move out a bunch of my games just for a nice MP.. Between zookeeper and my spy hunter, I'd be a happy man..

Someday..

My last experience with Mad Planets was unfortunately back when it was in the arcades in the 80's. Not a common game even in the day. Another of my old uncommon favs that I have not been able to come by is Wacko.

Even though I can't emulate it on my Mame setup, I sometimes load up Mad Planets just to listen to the game play. :) Call me weird.....

I waited 10 years to finally get my Medieval Madness so 2 years might not be too bad. Hopefully I'll not be in a assisted living by then....

the game actually plays a nice attract mode when you turn it on.when i go to the arcade i always turn it on along with the starwars. those attract modes are music to my ears. very nice sound from the mad planets.
