WTT: Street Fighter Alpha 3 US B Board for Super Street Fighter 2 (Turbo) US B Board

It works, good shape, I don't really care for the Alpha series.

I wish you luck in your search. SFA3 is a very fun game in my opinion.

For reference, and for what it's worth, I did actually pay 35.6% as much for my SFA3 as I did for my SSF2T board. They were both fully working on battery with A&B boards included. Both great games. It is typically more of an effort to find SSF2T, not necessarily because it is rare, but because those who have them wish to keep them.

There have been some Japanese SSF2TX boards for about $450-500+ on eBay. These go for a bit less usually than the USA Blue Board versions (which are perhaps a strong $400-450 at off eBay price). The Japanese differences are mostly the names of the bosses, no free play option on the, and Zangief's jumping fierce headbutt will typically dizzy in just one hit.

Cost-wise, the Pandora's Box 4S+ is a pretty good alternative as it does play the CPS2 games quite well and all the others can maybe even be turned off to make it boot directly to the game.

The boards are out there, but just a bit expensive as they are typically going to be sold at more of a "make me sell" price.

Well I put Turbo in parentheses basically saying I would like either SSF2 OR SSF2 Turbo. I didn't realize Turbo was worth so much. Me and my friends grew up with SF2 and none of us really like the Alpha series as much. I figured since I already have the A board and I could just trade the B board. Alpha 3 is fun, just rather have SSF2.

SSF2T is more pricey, yes.

SSF2T is not one that is easily produced from a conversion process (if possible at all?), due to the daughterboard. The fact that the game is also still regularly tournament'ed more than others probably has an effect on the availability/price.

There's and SSF2X on ebay for $350 shipped currently. That's the best price I've seen on one for a while.

You're next best option might be a Darksoft multi kit.

For reference, I had paid 24.6% for my working SSF2 board compared to my working SSF2T board. Both with A&B boards. So a SFA3 board might be something likely for in a trade for a SSF2 board. That eBay referenced above seems about what one might expect and not so bad and yeah, the Darksoft Multi is a very nice option to have as well.

Yea, I would be perfectly fine with a SSF2 board. I just didn't realize the price differences in SSF2T, SSF2X, SSF2LMNOP or whatever the hell else Capcom came out with. lol

I'll be sending pics tonight of SSF2.

I can tell you first hand that a SSF2T conversion without a daughter board is most definitely possible, but I don't think anyone has ever released the roms. I actually have one in my Big Blue that was converted and the roms sent to me. I wouldn't sell it for anything because replacing it would just be too costly.

For the cost of a SSF2T board these days the OP is better off using the SFA3 with a Darksoft Multi kit and then can have all of the CPS2 games in one.
