I want a Twilight Zone Pinball Machine.

I will trade my RFM thats in excellent condition.

Lemme know if your interested and maybe we can work out a deal.

RFM for TZ

yep retail sux. So do the people that push it so hard. This is supposed to be about fun. Retail is for those who value an item enough and will pay it.

for the rest of us....there are some insane deals out there.

Wish I had a TZ and Id trade you. Id love to have a RFM some day but they always seem to be so expensive when I do find one......and far away.

Those machines are about $1500 apart in value. RFM being less valuable than TZ. You may have better luck selling your RFM then adding some cash to find a TZ in my experience.

In the past 2 months ive sold 2 twilight zones for $3800 each and 2 RFM's for $2500 each (both were super nice). I personally think RFM is a better game, TZ is just hype.

I actually LIKE Twilight Zone a lot. Revenge from Mars I'm not a fan much of the Pinball 2000 series. I love Attack from Mars. Wish I had one of those.

I've seen nice TZs go for 2800, and I've seen RFMs go for just a hair less. Peronally, I think RFM sucks and TZ to be amazing, but that's just me. Those prices aren't as far apart as some of you may think. All depends on the condition.

TZs don't go for $2800 anymore. They have been well over $3000 for awhile.

Well, you're wrong, but thank you. I have a guy in Rockford that was selling one for 2800 about two months ago, actually. I ended up with a Simpsons Pinball Party instead, as he was in the middle of shopping it and TSPP came up.

It seems that TZ's are going for around $3,000 in the non-retail (collector to collector) market and a nice RFM is about $2k. That's about what I have been observing in my little world.

I'm guessing TZ and RFM are at least $1000 apart ( RFM < TZ ).

I have them both as keepers for very different reasons.

TZ is a "players" game. Lots of shots, lots of modes, lots of toys.
Stop and go gameplay where you have to plan your shots.

RFM is pure Eye candy, and probably one of funniest games ever.
(...far more humor than MM and such... ). Animation (Pin2K) is unique in all of pinball,
but gameplay is simplistic.

All the casual players turn to RFM after being scared off from TZ. ;-)

For some serious pinball, I play TZ (...well, TSPP more likely),
but for mindless fun, nothing beats RFM.

Both keepers for very different reasons...

I didn't know "a guy" in Rockford set the market.

I bought a Tapper MINT Budweiser for $400 last month. It must only be worth $400. Or the EDOT for $800 last week. EDOT must only be going for $800 then, right?

You guys are hilarious! I appreciate all of you keeping my thread at the top....

Glad to see the Price Police are making sure no machine is sold below market value and save the hobby for us all.

I get the idea if someone gave me a Twilight Zone for below what the KLOV Price Police Patrol dictates....I would offend, if not make half of them just crap their pants.

No biggie. I will at one point or another own a Twilight Zone Pinball and it will all be by the grace of one person. Not by the masses that try to dictate how much something is worth.

While we are here at the comparison game......remind me why AFM is so sought after. Hype plays a nasty role in our hobby and RFM without the video portion is just an AFM. IDK maybe I am the crazy one here but I beat AFM the first time I played it on route. Thought to myself....This would be fun in my house for about 2 days. C'est la vie.

Attack from Mars just has better lighting and features and is a full size pin...it really is a classic, but to each his own.

About the "masses" dictating prices...this isn't a communist site. In a perfect world we'd all get our stuff cheap and everyone would be happy, but in turn value IS what someone is willing to pay, and the average market price for something is dictated at HIGHER than what someone says, THAT is what it is worth.

A lot of people here would "love" to get something cheap for their "hobby" then turn around and sell it for the MAXIMUM they could because they need money for an "emergency" and such, so as an end all, price structure is this:

Twilight Zone, any UNDER $3000 will be sold fairly quickly, any OVER $3000 will sell soon, any over $3500 may take awhile.

Attack from Mars is a full size pin.

???

So, I guess High Speed must be a "mini-pin" cause the playfield is 1" shorter than a RFM????

RFM is a full size pin. I LOVE mine.

No, there's more applicable gameplay on the playfield as opposed to size in any other pin. Pinball 2000 series do not have that. If you put the two next to each other the RFM is a smaller pinball machine.

I'll always feel this way about RFM and the SW pin from that series. They just don't do it for me....certain pins I think are pure genius (Theatre of Magic) and some I think are overrated but look pretty (Cirqus Voltaire).
