WTT: My Neo Geo MVS-6 Candy for your NG MVS-4 full size in Phoenix area
Hi folks. I operate a vintage arcade and game store in Gilbert, AZ called Desert Sky Games, on the corner of Gilbert Rd. and Williams Field. We came across a working SNK Neo Geo MVS 6-slot in Japanese Candy cabinet (but it's American/English BIOS) and it actually works pretty much perfectly! It was almost entirely home use for the last ten years and it was very well kept except the electrical system needed replacing and the controls had already been swapped out for Suzo-Happ hardware. MVS-6 boards have a reputation for being fussy and to find one that powered up perfectly first try in our test bench made us very happy. I replaced the electrical system and the machine is fully operational. Only problem: It's in a Candy cab, and the entire rest of our arcade is full-size, full-height wood. The logistics with chairs, with only one coin slot on the machine, and so on are not optimal for our use. And yet despite this it is a strong earner in our lineup so I don't want to sell it outright.
So! I know someone out there in the Valley has got to be sitting on a fully working MVS-4 that's in its dedicated cabinet in at least reasonable cosmetic shape. 25" monitor, same as ours. Controls are irrelevant because I'll be installing Sanwa hardware due to player demand. But as long as the rest of your unit is in working order, what say we make us a trade? As Stiles in Teen Wolf said, "Even swap!" I know I'm giving up two slots in utility, basically in gratitude for someone helping us out on this.
If you're willing to make the trade and actually bring your machine to our store in Gilbert for the exchange, I'll throw in 5 of the 6 carts in our MVS: Samurai Shodown 2 and 4 and King of Fighters '96 and 2003, and Metal Slug. The only cart I am prohibited from parting with is Puzzle Bobble. I would have a mutiny on my hands if I did that. You understand.
If you're interested, please contact me on private message since I don't haunt the trading post boards too often and I'd rather not make you wait if you're interested in a deal.
Here it is:
Thanks!
