Seriously. Where are they?
There were waaaaay too many of them made for me to not see one for sale.

And for the rare ones that pop up...when did an original Galaga become $2k+ to even be considered?

IT'S GALAGA!!

The small form factor of Galaga, Pac and Nintendo cabs made them highly desirable for the early days of 60 in 1's and multicades. Plus, given the recognizable form factor made them easier to sell to the general public.

This is sad but true :/

There are a good bit around here in the South East. I see about 10 for sale every year. about 1 or 2 Bosconians too.

I'm convinced you collect them by serial number. ;)

LOL, well now that you mention it.... The last model one I just grabbed has some interesting features....... suit case PS.... no RTA hardware for the bottom panel like most have....

I think it is because many have been converted.

It's also a game that more or less has done somewhat decently on routes over the long haul and so after so many years they have just been beat up so much and then trashed. I've seen many that way.

Mine had over 208k plays on it when I got it. I personally have not even come across another game that had more than 75k (though I'm sure a lot of you have). Restoration was a lot of work, but worth it for me.

I like to play Galaga, but it is also just as much of a piece of great art sitting there playing through the attract mode.

Liking the white sides... very cool looking.

Agree think many are multicades. Seems like the most common conversion.

I just got this bad boy for $500. Dude was hording a ton of classics including a Scramble. I was buying a Nintendo cabinet and he mentioned he had some other games, including the Galaga. This has happen to me a few times.

Keep hunting. Hopefully you can find someone hoarding a Galaga.Attach88126_20190115_175639.jpeg

Did you happen to be the lucky one who picked up that Donkey Kong for $600?

...then turn around the next day and list it on cleveland's CL for $1200?

Negative. The guy I saw was in Columbus.

He had a DK that went for $500. It sold before I could get to it.

That game you posted had three DK games. Damn. I wish I got that.
