WTF thread from ebay LOL

Although I didn't need the board badly I did make a much smaller bid only to be topped by a bidder with less than 2 minutes in the auction....

I don't feel bad losing this one but whoever won the auction wanted worse than I :)

I know your pain, brother. It's better than bidding, then completely forgetting about the auction (like I did). I really wanted a Police Trainer board, but totally forgot to log in at the end of it. =(

I made my bid (and got outbid) very early on in that one.

I kinda wonder about that price - I had about 120 as the going rate for those boards in my head, I'm not sure where the 150 came from.

The desirability of that board has gone up considerably since the Multipede upgrade came out.

The final 2 minutes of a working Defender board set auction a week ago was nuts. The board went from $100 to $225.

If the board is popular, there will always be snipers waiting for the final 10 seconds to bid. I usually just bid early at a max that is outside my top price. That way if a high bid comes in the final seconds and I lose the auction, I figure I didn't want to pay that much anyway.

Most of those last second snipers are using software to place the bids. Bidding early just encourages a bidding war on a popular item or a shill bid if it's not.

$153 bucks for a board that a lot of people want / need doesn't seem that ridiculous to me.

That too much for a millipede board add in shipping of $25

I'm just saying 75-100 would be my tops.

I bought a whole cab complete for under a 100 lol

I understand, but that doesn't matter. Complete cab prices frequently do not determine the price of the solo PCB. In other words, being able to get a cab with PCB included for less than the PCB alone is pretty common.

I know quite a few people who'd be willing to shell out more than $100 for a Millipede PCB - again, partly because of the Multipede mod.

There is all kinds of nice free sniping software, why would you pay to snipe?

That Defender set with the $100 to $225 jump in the final seconds, that was mine; was happy to see that jump.
