WTB: Zookeeper Cpo (non inkjet)

Arcadeshop

Yeah, they used to carry them awhile back.. It was a shot in the dark, that paid off! Can't wait to install it.. Now to decide if I wanna buy side art and convert my minty Qix into the ultimate Zk.. As my current zk cab is less than perfect :)

I could print them if needed (on 3mm Lexan or whatever the original was printed on)
Also do the bezel and marquee (printed on the glass and marquee)

Cost would not be a lot.

Printed on a flatbed Mimaki printer :D

wow congrats dude, hopefully one day they'll be repoed again along with high quality marquees & bezels

Oztron

I'd take up up on the offer for bezel and marquee.. But the shipping would kill the deal, as your a wee bit far from me.. Thanks for the offer Oztron..

Not really, if we can get a few orders together it's not. I'd have to send them to one location and have that person send the others on. At cost for the glass and ink would be less than $15 and $10 for the marquee (I'd have to check) but my Discs of Tron CPO (on Lexan) cost me $25 and $10 of that was for the adhesive.

Something to think about anyway.

That is so weird. I emailed Steven 2 days ago asking if he had any interest in running the CPO's, bezels and marquees and all I got was "We have no plans on doing this artwork"

Glad you were able to snag one.

Great work, Pete! Congrats on finding one.

Mine is pretty ok but I wouldn't mind a new one. Pete, you can look at my extra bezel, maybe it's better?

Pete,

Just a suggestion, here. You may want to source a different panel (old jungle hunt with ratty overlay) and put your new ZK overlay on that since ZK panels, in general, aren't plentiful.

Mine is pretty ok ...

Yeah, mine is decent, too...

Thats the original story on these overlays. It took me a good 2 years to have them made, I had to bother every repro guy until AR finally decided to make them. If I remember right Scott Evans sent them an original overlay finally.
I ended up buying 20 overlays from AR to show my appreciation ;)

whoa! Just found this:

I bought 5 zookeepers at once! That looked awesome!

treborlicec,

I've got 2 original ZK panels.. Just needed a new cpo as one of them is a Willis and it's beat and the other is original but also beat.. Not sure what you Kent buy looking for jK ones :)

Exidy,

I remember reading your ZK story back in the newsgroup days.. Heh, wish I'd bought an overlay then, but hadn't found a cab yet..

JK and JH panels are much more plentiful and the same layout as ZK. So, what I mean is you could put the overlay on one of those and still have another, although beat looking, ZK panel in the world. Side note, I actually like the willis ZK design. Doesn't suck.

I think the Willis overlay sucks :) Doesnt match the cab well and looks very tacky and odd. thats my personal opinion of course.

Pete, here is a link you probably are familiar with, but this is what always prompts me to suggest using JK or JH panels for ZK. From Pr0k.

EDIT: Well, that tutorial used to have more info in it about the panel used being a JK or JH and the reason he was using it was to not destroy the "not terrible looking" ZK overlay he already had.
