Frankly, I just do not know enough about vector games to be confident in my own repair abilities. I am looking to buy a tested and working Tempest PCB OR looking to pay someone to test and repair my board if needed. I feel terrible that I have had another KLOVer fix my deflection board twice only to find out my boardset may be the culprit behind it toasting my deflection board each time I plug it back in. I want to completely rule out the boardset as the issue on this game.

Send me a price or repair quote! :)

I have been following your hardship with this if you were closer I would send you my boards set to test in your machine. Good luck and sorry I can't help

Same here..just sold my spare.. Does it play blind? I may be able to track down another set. If I can get my hands on it and it works, it would be 150 + shipping.

If you check around for those nintendo parts I was looking for, you can ship the boards to me to test out including your deflection with the parts if you still have them. I can at least tell you what is working or not if you get to the point no-one local can help you out. You would at least get ship free one of the ways piggybacking.

I need to find the original rom or finish another tubes mod first, but you can test your monitor with my board if you want when you get the monitor back up and running. After hearing your latest troubles, I don't think I want your board in my Tempest again though. It was fine last time though, but if I remember right, the video pots needed quite a bit of adjustment.

I surely do not want to plug my board into your machine. I would hate to damage your monitor. I know boardsets can damage monitors, but can monitors damage boardsets? Because I have tested nearly every transistor on my K6100 and they check out fine (I think).

So call me crazy, but I have a feeling my monitor may actually work. But if you are willing, I would greatly appreciate a chance to test my monitor with your boards, given that there isnt a risk of damaging your boards with my monitor if it actually IS faulty.

I doubt the monitor would blow the board, unless the X-Y or RGB input transistors are dead shorts... I had a set last week blow one of the TL082s while I was trying to adjust the picture.

I'll try to get the rom in there by the weekend. My last midterm is on Wednesday, so I should have a little time after that.
