WTB - WORKING PERFECT MEDIUM RES MONITOR - will pay shipping

I am at my wits end with my paperboy. I have two working chassis and NO working tube for it. I am about to pull the trigger on a new billabs monitor if they are still available.

OR, do you have a working monitor that you can ship me for less?

Let me know what you got. I live in Western Mass, local is a plus. I just want this game working!!!!

I'm not familiar with billabs monitors. Which leads me to ask, what price with shipping is less than those?

I think I have a working monitor from a 720 cab. Aren't they med-res monitors?

Just called billabs. They don't have CRTs anymore!!

720 monitor is HUGE. I need 19".

I have a few surplus computer terminal displays that I believe will sync up to medium res. They're not PC monitors - these came from some huge monitoring consoles from a mainframe environment. Color, multiple sync, I believe they handle low and medium res. 19". Unfortunately, I have no medium resolution games to try one on. They're 19", but don't have arcade monitor frames, these are for a different sort of mounting, meant to fit in a rack type shelf.

So, let me know if you get deperate...

Speaking of which, what's a good medium resolution game board to use to test monitors on? Surely there has to be a cheap Jamma medium res game.

Why not? What chassis types are they? Bet we can find you a tube cheaper than you can find a new monitor...

Not to mention that there's nothing electrically stopping you from using a standard resolution picture tube (like one scavenged from a television) with a medium resolution chassis, provided you use the proper deflection yoke. It'll probably look better than a standard resolution monitor, although not as good as a true medium resolution tube.

That was my thinking. Also, the K7000 medium-res chassis will work on a K7000 standard-res tube and yoke, so that option may also be possible...

I have a brand new in the box 19" Wells Gardner "Tri Sync" monitor that I may sell...but it would not be a cheap option. Garry

I have a K7000 and 4915 chassis.

I am going to play around with it ASAP and try to get it working again. I am just exhausted by this topic! I just want the game working. :)

If I have no luck the second time around I might be interested in the WG Tri-Sync.

I have NO IDEA if it's the same guy, and this PURE SPECULATION, but there is a warning about a "dave" selling arcade parts in the "bad trader" list. I'm not sure if they have anything in common other than the name, but after reading all the nasty stuff about that character, I will be leary of any part seller named Dave.

I have a K7000 and 4915 chassis.

If that 4915 chassis is good, I'm interested. PM me if you're interested in selling it.

Narc
