Does anyone have a woking 720 boardset my game worked perfect moved it to another spot in the gameroom
And it jut reboots over and over, I pulled all the socket chips and reseated and now I hear a relay clicking and crackling in the speakers when I push on certain parts on the board it will work a little sometimes and sometimes not, I have no idea what is wrong with it

Connectors, cracked solder joints on header pins, power issue, power related header/connector pins, voltage drop, etc? Have you verified the voltages at the board?

I checked and have 5 volts at both boards I pulled and reseated all socketed chips you think power supply is bad even though I Am getting 5 volts at the boards,I can reflow all the header pins just weird as it worked fine before I slid it 3 feet in the gameroom to. New spot

I got resetting due to a voltage drop. I'd get it up to 5.07v. The header pins also go bad easily because they burn up. If all else fails, just send your boards out to get repaired. It will be cheaper than buying a working set.

who does board repair?

who does board repair?

Since the problem started with just moving it I would look, very closely, at each and every connection to the game board. It may be something as simple as a power connection to/from fuse. Look at both ends of each and every connector. Don't just look for discolored connectors, clean them. This is the simplest thing to do first.

May just be power supply is kaput.

Hope it is not pcb issue, I don't think it is, but may be. If you could test in another cab to be sure.

Move it back to where it worked perfect, Fixed :)

If you do resort to getting it repaired, you can try:

http://www.eldoradogames.com/

They repaired my board set without issue. Many people here will bad mouth them, but I have yet to hear a real concrete reason why. If you click on the board repair/exchange link and then click on "S" on top you'll see that they'll exchange your non-working board set for a working one for $139. I was going to do that, but they ended up repairing mine for $70. I don't know of anyone around here that will repair 720 boards any more, but that doesn't mean they aren't out there.

I think sending the boards out for repair at this point is jumping the gun. While you have identified a symptom (resetting) you haven't identified the *problem* yet.

When something resets, or works 'sometimes and sometimes not' as you have said, that usually means an issue with power. The recommendation of testing these boards in another cabinet is a very good one. Anyone with an Atari System 2 cabinet should be able to test these for stable performance. (Paperboy, Championship Sprint, APB, etc..)

In my experience, if games are flaking out because you are moving them, it's usually a problem with flaky connectors. Get a magnifying glass and take a good look at the connectors (especially the power ones leading to your boardset). If they are tarnished/corroded they should be replaced. Cold solder joints can also be an issue.
