I have never heard of different hardware versions on this game. Any chance you could post any pictures of any of the pieces that you have (connectors, etc.)?

The upright version uses a different old style power block like Atari Football ALL the uprights use the old block

the mini and cocktail use the newer Centipede style power block

The and old and new blocks have different wiring harness connections

so you can't just drop in a mini/cocktail bock in and upright or vice versa

Hopefully this should help

I have 2 uprights. The older one, that I would like to restore, has the older power supply. The other one I have, that is much later judging by the serial number, has the common power supply. Anyways, I'm looking for a wiring harness..

Wow, cool, thanks for posting those pics. I learn something new every day. Do you know if the wiring in both cabinets is interchangable with each other?

I have never seen that and I've seen a TON of MC cabinets and they always have the old style. I wonder if someone did a mod? The manual shows the old one too.

Does it look factory? No extra screw holes in the bottom where a big one might have been at one time?

No MOD that I can see. All screw holes accounted for and wire ties where they should be. I was going to do a wire harness swap with another machine, but the harness is way too different.

Followup on this. I have had 3 other Missile Commands pass through my hands over the last month or two. And ALL had the larger power supply in it. Anyways, I got rid of the one with the smaller PS, and now working on restoring the early serial number game with the more common larger PS.
