WTB: Wild Western PCB (working 100%)

Title says it all, let me know your price. Shipping is to 92078 zip. Thanks!

Ooooooh, is this game any fun? I had a marquee a while back that I sold to Tester. Never had the board or played the game, but the marquee made me feel like I had just stepped into the drugstore in Wall, South Dakota. Good luck in your search Sav.

From my recollection, it is. Very unique gameplay. At the beginning you're running along trying to catch or protect a train on horseback shooting at the banditos on horseback. I'd never have the room (or perhaps even find) a dedicated one, but since it is Taito and has the same control setup as Frontline I can slap that puppy in there and go nuts . That is, if someone can hook a brother up. :) Thanks!

Good luck on the hunt.. I had a heck of a time finding all the parts for mine. I think its one of the best Taito games.
Thanks! Perhaps I'll need it. Do you have any idea what these go for or what a fair price would be? Not much historical information to go on...

No idea.. Don't think I have ever seen one complete for sale other than the one i found... I made mine from an elevator action i Re-stenciled... Used parts off a hacked up mess from Illinois I shipped. As luck would have it i found one about 6 months ago in very nice shape... So good i would't have done anything to it.... I paid about $450 or something like that and took a couple parts off I needed then sold to rabidcat on here.. He was gonna make it into a frontline so you might want to pm him. I should have kept it because due to rarity was probably the exact one i played back then... But I had spent so much time on the one I restored...and didn't need two...siiiggh.

I'm just looking to get a working PCB actually to play in my Frontline. I hear that it is plug and play, can you confirm or deny? I actually do not have the space for a dedicated unit...

He won't sell the entire cab.. but since he made it into a frontline he might be open to selling the pcb..?

yes if you have a Frontline and get a Wild Western pcb its a plug and play
Thanks! :)

Cool, thats what I am looking for. Just sent him a PM. Thanks for the suggestion!

I have an untested board that is marked Elevator Action but the pictures and the boards numbers appear to be for the Wild Western. I picked it up in a bulk buy and have no way to test it. Maybe you could convince Tester to do some Testing.

Let me know what it is worth to you and add $20 for shipping.

With no way to fix it myself and no known options, I would essentially be buying it in the hopes that untested = working. Under that scenario, the answer to your question is not much. Let me try and see if there are any repair options. Thanks!

If it's marked Elevator Action, then that's probably what it is.

The WW codes/numbers silkscreened on the board do not indicate that it is a Wild Western. The boards are compatible, but the EPROM configuration (and labels) on your photo agree with that of an Elevator Action setup.

Remember that you could burn an entire set of EPROMS and try to swap it over yourself. Don't forget the little layer PROM. Wild Western is the only game of the entire set that uses a different one. I will have to investigate to see what happens when you swap the EPROMS and leave the PROM alone (eb16).

I've got a ton of these Taito type boards, but can't recall that I've thrown a set for Wild Western up on the shelf. To be honest, Tin Star kicks Wild Western's a**, but has a different monitor orientation.
FrontLine beats them both if you're just into the spinner/click/shooter controller..

I can turn two working Elevator Action/Front Line/Jungle King boards into a working Wild Western if you'd like..
