Im still having issues with my Monitor. I had replaced the HV diode as recommended here, as well as a loose HV pot. Its better, but after about 15-20 mins it slowly starts to bloom, then it weiil "pop back" to normal size for a min or so then bloom again. Its random at how long and the duration, but it wont happen till about 15- or 20 mins - after it warms up.
So I was told my flyback may be going, so if anyone has a working HV cage or just the Fly,
Please - PM me.
Thanks!

If you already replaced the HV diode it's your picture tube that is bad. You can either look for an old B&W TV and take the tube out of it or I got a complete working G07-802 monitor with no burn in and working 100% for $280 shipped in the US.

Reading your post again I would say it's more likely to be a bad job on reconnecting the 2 rubber cups to the diode. It's very crucial to get a good fit because once the heat warms up the rubber (plastic) cups they will stretch and the diode will come loose. You can try using some zip ties to help secure the diode in the cups or best yet, solder the diode right to the wires but you have to be careful, the diode will brake off if you bend it to much. Good luck.

Thanks for both replies.
I already replaced the diode, and due to the condition of the "springs" at the end of the wires, I removed them and soldiered the wires directly to the diode, then slid the boots back over and siliconed them just in case of bleed off.
This thing works GREAT for 15-20 minutes - stable as can be - then it starts growing to where the scores disappear (on the asteroids), then it will instantly pop back to normal size.
So Im really looking for a HV cage or a good flyback at this time.
Thanks!!

If you done all that I still think it's your picture tube. Tell you what I do, I have a HV cage that I can sell you for $100 shipped in the US. If it fixes you're problem great keep it, if not send it back to me in the same condition as you got it and I'll refund your money.

Ok - ill byte,
WHY do you think its the tube. Whats going on inside it to cause it?
Thanks fo rthe offer on the HV cage - a bit out my range at this time - ill keep it in mind though.

juts experience tells me that if it's not the diode it's the tube. I worked on about 6 or 7 XY monitors with blooming problems over the years and 2 or 3 of them turned out to have a bad picture tube. I have yet had to replace a HV transformer for that problem. I have been lucky and had spare parts round to isolate the problem. If you're looking to save $$$ than don't wast it on a transformer.

One thing you can try is put a mirror in front of your game, after the game is warmed up lightly tap on the tub's neck with the rubber handle and watch the mirror to see if this has any effect. Not the first choice of troubleshooting but it helps if you don't have a tube checker/rejuvenate. Good luck.
