Looking for a K6100 within a reasonable driving distance from Denver. I really want to get my monitorless Black Widow up and running this winter.

Bump for the new year. Maybe adding a price will help. How about $500 for a non working monitor? More for a working/nice monitor. I don't want to see my black widow monitorles any longer...

I have a working monitor out of Space Duel, typical burn in but can't see if with smoked glass. I am out of your 250 range in zip code 72019.

32 hours of driving round trip is a little far and I doubt you would want to ship it. :(

So, anyone making a trip from AR to CO???

FWIW, Fedex should be about $90-100 to ship a 6100 that far. I sent one from NH to CO for about $90. I got a large box from U-Haul, bolted some plywood pieces to the frame to protect the neck, and used plenty of padding, but it made it ok.

Pictures or it didn't happen. :p

Well, I was just messing with ya. (That was the actual tracking though.)

I just bought some cheap 1/4" ply from Home Depot. I got one 48x48" piece, cut it into 9 16x16" squares at Home Depot, and used 4 of the squares (so I have 4 left, to do another monitor.)

I drilled holes in the side pieces of ply, where the handles are in the 6100 frame, and used long bolts and fender washers to secure the side pieces to the frame, through the handle holes. Then I used L-brackets and small wood screws to attach the back and top wood pieces to the bolted-on sides.

I actually ended up leaving the neck board on the tube, and just strapped it to the yoke with a couple of rubber bands so it wouldn't fall off, as I didn't want it bouncing around, and wanted to ship the monitor assembled. I also put no packing material inside the wooden case, to risk having anything put pressure on the tube or yoke.

I placed the whole monitor face down in the U-Haul box, on a base of bubblewrap, then filled the sides and top with more bubblewrap. That was about it. The final weight was about 60 lbs.

Hope that helps.
