WTB : Tron Transformer

Brick

Sounds good. :)

I pulled the brick off the shelves this morning. It is from a dedicated 2 tiger that I thought was the same as Tron. I compared it to the 1 Tron I have here and it is different. It is the suitcase style MCR PS. It seems to me some trons had this style. I know EDOTs had this style. Now I am not sure. Any input appreciated.

FWIW, here is a pic of a Spy Hunter (MCR) power supply:

That is the same style I have but the one in the Tron I have here has the seperate fixture for the 2 large filter caps. and the ISO is mounted on a wood board. Did Tron come both ways?

Tron

Looking for the transformer that sits in bottom of the machine. Willing to trade a Arcadeshop switcher or pay cash for it. Thanks!

Check your PMs.

For what it's worth.....Tron, Kick(man), and Solar Fox all used the "open" transformer assembly. After Tron (possibly mid-production ??), Midway switched to the more familiar "suitcase" style transformer assembly. Besides physical appearance, these assemblies are the same. With a few connector changes....these assemblies are interchangeable. Not too mention, if you just have one bum transformer....you could just swap the bad transformer and leave everything else original.
