One of the Rom boards appears to be on the fritz in the Daytona USA Twin cab I picked up over the weekend. I'm interested in possibly purchasing a Rom board or trading for one. I have various Neo-Geo carts and all sorts of other random stuff that I might be able to offer to you.

If you have one to trade or sell let me get a general idea of what you would like for it in money or trade and I'll see what I can do.

Would you be able to reuse your actual rom chips if neccessary? If so could I reccomend you post a list of compatible donar machine boards?

Yes, the chips seem to be fine. Sadly, I think the only 2 compatible boards with this version of the Model 2 are Desert Tank and Virtua Cop.

What's wrong with the ROM board? I can't imagine it's not something that can't be fixed. The video and CPU boards are usually the ones that go bad.

This is the part that I need:

System 26 identifies it as the Rom board to the Model 2. Since the Daytona USA is a twin cabinet with identical boards in each seat I was able to narrow the problem down to just this board out of the stack.

I havent tried plucking out the rom chips and putting in other ones yet however the person I got the cabinet from said that it is the board and not the Rom chips. I may later on try to switch out the chips and see if that makes a difference but for right now I'm going to just try to find another replacement board. Sadly, the only boards I can use are from Daytona USA, Desert Tank, and Virtua Cop.

The problem the cabinet exhibits is kind of unique. The 2D graphics of the water, sky, grass, etc are all there, but the 3D graphics become distorted and all sorts of weird stuff. Its like the 3D graphics lose their cohesion and become big blocky messes.
