I checked that prior to suggesting you, I assumed it meant they are out of stock.Just get one from Mike's:
I will If I can't find a compatible opto somewhere. I'm reading that as "out of stock" also.Oh, I don't know. He'd have to ask.
I'm sure. It's just two parts and a headerThese are so simple to manufacture, I would assume Jason made a lot of them.
I'm a little confused, I read the thread, and it says the version pictured on Mike's page does NOT work with tempest. (Without drilling holes), though that there was surprise that it could work with pole position. No drilling is required. Read the whole thread.
I don't really want to buy a new product that I may have to immediately drill holes in to make functional.64bit, why not just follow the instructions on mike's page?
Yes, it definitely isn't working. Checked it with a logic probe. Replaced the header and solder to make sure it wasn't that either.Did you test the opto/PCB? (with a scope to see pulses etc)
Sometimes it's just cold/cracked solder on these causing an issue. YMMV
Okay I bought an Arcade Jason repro opto and I can say without a doubt that it won't fit without new holes being drilled.
That's what I'm planning on doing. There are only three components. Can you just move what's bad from the Arcade Jason board to your original?
