I'm looking for a control panel that will fit a taito cab which was a crazy climber I believe (taito across the bottom). The one that it currently has is 1 player with 3 buttons on either side. Looking to make this Cab a 2 player rotary.

Not sure if the size is standard with other cabs or if someone out there reproduces them like they do midway & nintendo CP's.

Thanks

Also looking for Taito stencils, are the ones from www.gamestencils.com nice? Would want both older and newer ones as I have 1 of each Cab.

Taito

Yeah, pictures would help.. As I own a bunch of taitos, and none have taito written across the bottom.. It's on the sides or on the top of the sides.. I do have an extra crazy climber metal cp but no wood.. Plus I have a set of nos rotary wico ball sticks for sale..

I will try to get picks up tonight or this weekend.

The one is a taito across the top like elevator action, qix etc..., the other is taito on a 45 degree angle along the bottom half of the cab. The top of the cab is level as opposed to the other taito (like qix) which is sloped. Has a Shalion's Road in it right now.

Is this it?

Yeah, pretty sure mine is orange (crazy climber). It's buried in my garage at the moment, so I haven't been able to get at the control panel. The other taito cab's control panel wraps down around the front which is what I thought the other one is like. After doing some online research, looks like it might just be a flat piece that sits on top, which I imagine should be easier to re-create out of wood or metal.

Yup

It's just a flat piece of wood just like you said.. I've got a crazy climber right here if you want photos.. Also have a Stratovox which is the same.. A thin piece of aluminum bolts onto the top, which has screened graphics.. I replaced my somewhat worn CC panel with a better one, so if you want the metal piece I can sell it to you cheap.. Also have the rotary sticks if you want them..

I might take you up on the offer. Let me try to dig it out and see what condition it's in.

Have you used any taito stencils for restoration on your cabs? Did you use pr0k's? (I think that's who it is). Not caring too much for accuracy, just want them to be easy to use.

As for the rotaries, in my quest to find 2 NOS SNK LS-30's, I ended up with over 20 used ones in the hopes of making 2 really nice ones. Lucky me that a member on here sold me 2 brand spanking new ones (with harnesses) and just ended up getting 2 more brand new ones (without harnesses) from someone local.

Thanks

Stencils

I have not used any of the available stencil sets.. There is one or 2 threads in the restoration section of taitos being restored with stencils.. I like keeping my cabs in their original state :)
