I'm on the hunt for a nice marquee, CPO, and main viewing glass/bezel. I also need 1 plastic "pull and vent" from the back area above the coin door.

Everything is now either in hand or on its way; thanks!

Okay, okay... ALMOST had it! haha. Still looking for a bezel.

Bumping with some pictures to pull at the heartstrings of any softies who, at seeing this poor, naked BurgerTime, might help clothe it.

I am really regretting not getting one of Rich's repro cpos. *pain* Ordered the stencils and kickplate art in time, thank goodness, and am anxiously awaiting its arrival.

Wish I'd have thought of doing this sooner!

I have been trying to get some parts for a while might Have my issues solved but still need that damn CPO I hope they will do another run soon. Best of luck It's an awesome game and a fun restore.

Would it be productive to start a thread for people who are interested in another run of the CPO's? I see at least 2 here I guess 20 or more would be the magic number for another run.

Bump for a new week. All I need now is the marquee (Bally version, not the dancing baddies version) and the bezel.

Thank you!

There was a run just a few months ago. Not likely to be one soon. On another note, I have seen several hit ebay for sale. Whether they are making money on top of TOG, who knows. As far as a bezel goes, the likely hood of a production run on glass bezels is as good as none (I've already inquired). One off is a different case, but it'll cost you ($100+ not including extensive shipping for glass). Best to just have one printed and stick it behind some glass / plastic.

Check TNT Entertainment for a marquee. They are kinda $$ about $60 shipped if I remember, but are very high quality and new. I think he bought a batch from arcade renovations. I just opened mine up the other day and was very impressed. It's on thick plexi and screened nicely.

Piece of advise on that kickplate art, fill any possible voids on the wood as when you lay vinyl like that down it's much like paint in that it will show every bit of the surface. Don't think it will hide anything! I installed mine, and it turned out great, but that was becuase I had experiance in the same vinyl on another cab. Shows everything! One spec of dust will look like a mountain under that vinyl.

Thanks for the tips, ManiN. I'll contact Todd through his website about that marquee. As for the vinyl, mine should arrive soon, and I think I've got the front prepped nicely. Had to fill some holes... bondo and dowels... but now that it's been sanded and painted, you'd never know they were once there.

Can't say I'm not worried about screwing it up somehow, though. Hope it comes with good instructions!

ha, no instructions. There is an online info / pics on one of the rotheblogs out there. All I did was unrolled it and anchored the opposite end with something heavy to hold it straight out. Then pealed back about 6" and lined the base up with the bottom of the cab. Then you just press down side to side like a printer a few fingers width at a time till you get the the back paper you peeled. Then you peel some more and slowly press down just the same a little at a time. That method works well to ensure you don't get bubbles or wrinkles, and you don't mess with soapy spray etc. The pic I attached is my work in a middle stage of laying it. The key is to press it on side to side slowly, don't jump ahead, that's how the bubbles appear.

are you already done with your stencils? I used the same peel n stick method on those. Have a friend help you if you haven't. Not the easiest task to get started. Take your time and don't rush by any means. Paint with several light coats to get the right color, never thick. Make sure you press the stencil down on all edges, used your fingers and press each edge down. Use a plastic wedge like for bondo (supposedly TOG provides one, I didn't get one when I bought stencils...). Taking the time to do that will leave much less work on touch ups when you're done. Look at the rotheblog for burgertime stencils for a good overview.

I actually haven't even got the stuff yet... ordered two weeks (and some change) ago. I'm hopeful that the mailman will drop them off today. I just painted the black inside areas of the cab and the kickplate moments ago, though, so I'll be waiting before I begin regardless of whether they arrive today.

Next, I'll be rolling on the yam color later today or tomorrow. Fun fun.

It takes Rich a bit to make them, so that'll explain the time you're waiting. It took my cab about 5 coats using killz primer. I used a foam roller, and you have to spread it thin to make that work which is the reason for 5 coats. I'd recommend spraying it if you can. Much less work.

Down to just the bezel now. Have a feeling I'll be hunting for this one for awhile, and with it on Rich's list of possible eventualities, I suppose it's time to get comfy here and wait it out.
