finally got back to this project and got some blood running through this bubbles again... who knows when the last time it played bubbles on williams hardware was!
thanks to kalan for the artwork (header, bezel) and joysticks which i picked up at CAX... i started mocking up a multiwilliams panel a while back you'll see in the pics, but also have the sinistar (kung fu something) panel which is perfect for a dedicated bubbles panel (i'm about to order the cpo) so i'll do both
guts were all salvaged from my hoard, robotron boards (came in my smash tv but removed long ago), clay's multiwilliams kit (bought back in the day for my joust, never installed it beyond testing), and a joust sound board... hacked together a jamma to williams harness (cab was already jamma, and a mess, but in case i ever go with a JROK board in the future it made the most sense)... i stole its monitor for my defender, using my test appleII monitor for now
anyway, i wasn't planning to get into details, i'll start a new thread in the restorations section soon... but here's some pics (and yes everything is precariously connected, the sound board is hanging, and that random orange wire is my ground jumper for the jamma harness input buttons, until i wire the panel)
