The game currently has a Rottendog, thankfully. I think it's a MPU004 (board claims it also works for Data East titles), previous owner put it in. I just prefer having the original boards. I plan to sell the Rottendog once I get a working original.

You might try hitting up Victor on Pinside (goes by DumbAss). He builds repros, but also repair/sells originals as time permits.

I have one working with a remote AA battery board for $325 shipped
