WTB: Swords of Fury Pinball

Good luck with your search. Swords of Fury is a Great game. I have one in great condition, but would only be willing to part with it in a trade for a Funhouse or a Creature from the Black Lagoon. If you manage to trade your Revenge from Mars for one of those and want to work out a deal, let me know.

I just ordered a USB to Female Null Modem from StarTech. If the SoF thing happens - I'm bringing you cheesecake and beer... my dad is a master baker of 30 years :)

Way too far and way too expensive. Everyone that owns one trys to sell it for twice its worth. Cant say I blame them but lets look at some factual sale data. Evidence: http://bostonpinball.biz/ebay_112112.htm in 2012 3 sold for an average just over $1000. lifetime average $800 with an 8 year max $1700. 50 sold on ebay over 8 years with 2500 produced lifetime machines. this is how you determine market value. There is only one SoF worth $2000 and that owned by a dude on pinside. Its HUO collector quality with sick custom LEDs. Good luck though with your sale.

It's amazing how things change over just a couple years. As I was selling my SOF for $1500 or BO about 2-3 years ago. It wasn't perfect, but damn nice. Had new led display and a bunch of nos parts installed. It was available for humm, six months I think.. Had a couple under 1k offers which I wasn't going to deal with.. Then I traded it for a very nice Sega DMD pin..

Since trading it, I've had people email and pm me a few times a month asking if I still had it and offering more than $1500.. Its actually the one thing I regret letting go out of the 100s of games I've owned Over 15 years..

Oddball system 11 pins are finally getting the interest they deserve.. Just wish there were more SOF out there. I'd pay 1500-1800 all day for a nice one that didn't have much playfield wear.. 2k and up is silly, unless its HUO or Mylar removed and cleared.

Good luck man!

It's not my listing. I emailed him with what I considered to be a pretty generous trade offer and he was quick to thumb his nose at it. He says he has a 2k offer on it but I think he's bluffing. He's suffering from one-sold-for-lot-on-ebayitis.

...and I'm working on a deal. If it goes through, I will have to sell one and that might have to go. I'll keep you guys posted.

Actually, the SoF's on ebay have NOT sold, check it. And the 2 on craigs went for >800 There is no imaginary inflated market for them. Most of the hype has come from me lol. Craigs and ebay sales from 2012 still have it at 800-1000 so dont feel bad Tighe. If you search 'sold' items you wont even find one but boston pin shows 3 for 1000. I think the facts remain: its a system 11 which dont come without their faults, its a 2500 production run which is low but doesnt make it an LE by any stretch, and too many pinheads rate it poorly so its clearly a niche themed pin. Now with all that said I'm one of the niche buyers at 1,000... But one it starts nearing or eclipsing 1,500 a T2 or DM starts looking more attractive! Just my $0.02.
