Where do you buy NEW arcade style switching power supplies in bulks of 10+ for a decent price these days?

Anyone have a good suggestion or link?

power

when you buy a power supply for 4.70 can it possibly be made of quality parts,
or are these the china made caps and parts that last 5 months lol

Hey man, everything is made in China these day. Says it has a 2 year warranty, so 5 of these at a total cost of $23.50 would last 10 years. What's the warranty on the "quality" ones you're pushing? Probably nowhere near 10 years.

Buy them or don't -- I personally think it is an amazing deal. If I needed 24, or even 6, I'd be all over it.

BTW - anyone buy any of these? I could use a few if you have too many. I bet you could get 6 or 7 in a large flat rate box for $50 shipped -- I'm ready!!!

Those power supplies are garbage. Go ahead and rely on a "warranty" when you have to swap them out every 6 mos or less, or burn up a good classic board.

What is this -- Attack of the KLOV Anti-Price Police? - if something is too good of a deal, you all chime in and demand members pay more?

Would I prefer a Wie Ya, sure. But those go out too, and can burn up a board just as easily. There's no "pre-failure" warranty or alarms from those power supplies either. Like I said, you don't have to buy them.

I take it you guys are operators with your machines running 24 x 7? I power up my games once or twice a month if I am lucky, so I'm really not afraid.

Yep I am an Operator. Take the advise son, eliminate service calls, fried boards, and all headaches.... Just spend your hard earned $ on decent quality. You can thank all of us later...

You make me laugh -- I checked out your posts. You buy used parts all over the place and hack together a lot of cabs. Then, you sell the cabs and complain about having to report what's in them. Typical operating procedure - just get it working, and get it sold.

How many of the cabs you sell have a Wie Ya in them? Yea, that's what I thought.

Tell me Gramps -- how old are you (I'm guessing early 20s), and how much experience do you have with arcades? You've only recenty joined KLOV, and have very few posts. Just curious...

Thoughtssssss

The Power Supplies are cheap but there is always a catch somewhere
My numbers are a little rounded but here is how I figure it....

- Shipping - I bet its 150 or more. It might be lower but these will be heavy
- PayPal Fess - Add 4% at 5 bucks or more
- Customs Fess - Add 5 or 10 bucks

Costs
PS's - 112
Shipping - 150
Fees 5
Customs fees 5
Total of 272

Split 272 between 24 PS's puts them at about 11-12 Dollars each. Now you have to ship them to another buyer.... 5-6 bucks uninsured. That makes these 17 bucks to a buyer with no margin factored in for you as profit to cover your time and RISK. (And the supplies aren't that great)

Not that I care to share my information on a public forum, but I can assure you I have been around the business longer than you have even thought about it.

Nope I haven't been around KLOV long, mainley because of PUKES much like yourself.

Go ahead and make personal attack on me becaue I simply stated a fact that the items you were looking at or suggesting to others were pure trash.

Glad to see you could take the LOW road by spewing out trash about me, you don't know me, nor do you have a clue as to my knowledge, or restorations. Tell you what go ahead and post pics of your top 20 restorations, and I will do the same then you can run your mouth.

Gotta love everyone trying to do dick measuring and getting off topic....

fact of the matter is all of the "Happ" stuff is Made in China these days like everything else, but the Power Pros are better quality, just pricey...
