WTB: Supercard Mini SD

Haha. Wow. FW 1.5 is ancient. I actually helped a couple of KLOVers hack their PSPs already. Phat and Slim. Let me know if you ever need any help if you don't feel like catching up with the game. :)

Well, 1.5 was the way to go back then. I was able to play all the latest games of the time with hookloader or whatever it was, so I was set. I think Dark Alex's custom firmware had just popped up about the time I started to fall behind.

There have been a few games since then that I've really wanted to play (Lunar, Loco Roco [yeah, they go back that far], etc) and never did. If I saw a cheap ass PSPgo someplace, I might pick one up specifically for homebrew.

1.5 was the favorite for a while. It seemed to be the last firmware to run certain homebrew apps and such. People would downgrade to 1.5.

Then the Pandora battery came around. Any fat PSP, about 95% slim, and none of the 3000 models work with the battery. It's a great little thing.

Ahh that's right. I remember first hearing about the Pandora Battery a few months before my PSP stopped getting used all the time. I had no need for it, but I remember reading all about it at one point.

Holy crap... why did I say "was what the favorite for a while"?

**fixed in OP**

Anyway... Yeah, CFW is pretty cool. I stopped following it after Dark Alex left the scene.

I need a new PSP... and if I do get one, I'm sure I will need to invest in a newer version of firmware. I have a few newer games with higher requirements (even though I don't have an active PSP)

I need a PSP GO............my slim PSP white Star Wars edition i accidentally left on top of my Asteroids machine....well the cat decided to play hockey with it and it fell behind the game, when I was moving the game to get it I inadvertently set the Asteroids machine on top of it crushing the PSP.....:(

Looks like its good timing to pick up a GO.....

We're getting off topic here, but what would be a decent price on a new or used psp go these days anyway? They seem to run around $100 used on ebay.

The original topic is officially over. I should just start a PSP homebrew thread. :)

Well, like I said, I just picked mine up after looking for a PSP Go for about two weeks. Here's average prices I've seen and what I've found out.

Gamestop: They are no longer accepting trade-ins for Gos and price dropped used ones to $99.99 + tax back in December. As a result, they are sold out of them at almost every location. At least around here. They deemed it as a failure and are phasing them out. The NGP comes out this holiday.

eBay: $120-150 + shipping

CL: $130-150

Retail: $189-199 + tax

PSP Slim/3000: Just subtract $50-60 off those prices except GS. Not sure how much they are used there. Probably more than CL or eBay. The 3000 is $129.99 + tax in stores.

So between 100 and 150 is a decent price then.

I was hoping for less than that :D

And I wouldn't have a problem with that either, actually :p Hell, that's all I've ever played on so whatever!

Only three advantages to the slim, really. And they can be negligible.

lighter
Component output (not even full screen though)
charge from USB

You could throw in the UMD door is better as well, but if you don't treat yours like crap it's a moot point.
