I'd really like to get my hands on a Street Fighter the movie. I'd be interested in just a kit, or the whole cabinet, or any pieces (cpo, joystick & button decals, pcb, etc) you have.

Thanks

Haha...it's actually a really solid, fun fighter that can be taken pretty seriously on a competitive/tournament level. Plus how many van damme arcade games are out there??

Yeah $450 or $500 depending on which ad he lists, but I try not to buy anything from that guy, he is a really shady dr. frankenstein, gutting all the classics and turning them into 60 in 1s or worse, and his stuff is generally really overpriced and in shoddy condition. Like if you look closer at the cabinet, there's a strange gap under the marquee, and the controls are completely off-centered so the 2 player side is all the way smushed at the edge

I would rather play EX2 before movie...
EX2 is great, but it at least had a good console port (some would say better), whereas SF: The Movie can really only be played in the arcade.

Well if it's Tim I have bought from him before and though he is a bit odd he seems alright, I have tried 2 deals with him one worked out one didn't. I guess he has alot of people treat him bad or flake, when I was standing in front of him with cash he made sure I was satisfied with the purchase before I left. So I guess as far as I can advise if u like it show up look at it and work out a deal. He just does what most of us do I see him snag alot of the machines from CL and resell them either as is or turns them into 60n1 he does good business though I wish I could sell that many games. By the way he is a lot better guy to deal with after you have bought from him, at least he was with me.

There is no strange gap that is just a reflection that is all a black piece of metal, are you familiar with these z back cabs they are sold empty and you convert to what ever you want, really good for an op not as much for a collector but none the less this cab is correct there is nothing funky with the marquee, as far as the controls I can tell you its very easy to fix the top thin layer of plywood just pulls out with two clips and you put a new piece in drill your new holes and your good to go.

Yes after closer inspection it's just the reflection...however my other points about him stand and I prefer not to do business with people who do what he does (which I really don't believe is "most of us").

Really I see your name in posting from this guy a few times where do you think these monitors come from? he does some of the same things as the other guy? and when I refer to tim doing what most of us do is buying and reselling games off craigslist we all do it. Not as far as converting to 60in1's which by the way I don't care if they do or not just saying. http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=222123

I'm not sure how giving away $25 sanyo monitors is akin to grabbing a game off CL for $100 and posting it the next day for $500.

The people I buy games from are either collectors selling part of their personal stash, or they are people who put a little work into finding games, not just grabbing low hanging CL fruit, fix them and get them in decent condition, and then sell them for a fair price.

I'm not running all over klov making threads about "tim the arcade guy" or making nasty CL posts about him (which plenty of people seem to do), I just choose to do business elsewhere, and I doubt he cares either way.

...also I can't stand the drive to Murrieta, it's just too far out in bumf*$kville

okay

I was referring to him converting to the all in 1's, and if you don't like buying from people who buy for lower then they resell for good luck buying anything anyway I'm done with this postyou just come up with more nonsense reasons why you wouldn't buy from him.

We have a guy up here in the bay area just like that.

He buys up every cheap POS and converts them to mutli machines. Most are really shoddy conversions like your worst OP back in the day.

He tries to make it sound like he runs a 1/2 way house for at risk teens but they are just the street kids that are friends of his kids. He has no state santioned support for example. It's really a errie situation and he seems shady.

I'm sure the Saturn port of SF Movie plays fine.

Perfect illustration of why I don't buy from him -

This morning a Pac-Mania with a bad monitor shows up on craigslist for $65. Unfortunately it's located 5 minutes outside of Murrietta, so before you can blink, you know it's gone.

Cut to this afternoon:

Shameless, money-grubbing frankensteining.

I buy plenty, but I make it a point in life to try and only interact with people I respect.
