are you really going to split hairs and waste that much time and energy over $6 when in the end you will surely have around 1k in that game.

you asked for a thicker 5" tube which will add weight and adds Cost.
Those cheezy mail 2" tubes don't weigh anything so he's got $5.45 postage and $2.5 in a tube and will just asume his time to pack and ship it was worthless and free I guess. It sound that you should have paid this guy the $10 spot
Even though I buy my tubes in bulk theres still costs factors as I pay shipping to get those tubes on top that. So they are far from free
But yeah really youll go $10 but not $16 your choices for buying parts and arts seem to
be really shrinking there. Now if this is truly NOS thats only a total of $61 bucks!!!

If it was NOS I'd have bought it. It's repro...so I can suck it up and get it from Steve for $5.00 cheaper plus (i'm sure) better shipping costs.
...but you aren't going to replace the front art either...

Either way you can't win and are going against your principle. You either buy from Steve or pay $6 more to ship it. And as far as the $6 goes, not all shipping is created equally, I charge more for shipping but ask someone that has one of my Amplifone boards what the packing was like.. Maybe for that $6 he is doing a better job ?
