looking for a steering pot for my spy hunter project along with its mounting bracket. Also looking for one of the rubber washers that pad the steering? one is missing

also have an extra spy hunter wiring harness that is only cut at the service switch area where the sound pots are located (missing service panel also)---can offer it for sale or trade

thanks!

I don't have any of the parts, but.....

FWIW - My steering pot was bad and I found a generic one at radio shack that works perfectly. Needed to cut down the shaft with a hack saw but has been working fine.

Mylstar had the springs the last time I checked.

The pot is easy; it's a generic pot, nothing special. 1K/5K/10K linear taper all work. You just need a long enough shaft.

Not sure about the mounting plate but I'd ask Mylstar about that as well.

For the pot, you want a measurement angle of around 270-300 degrees and continuous turn pots are the easiest to install but not necessary.

As the previous poster said, Radio Shack has a 5K pot that works but has a very long shaft. I don't know that you have to cut it; I don't think being too long is an issue where it's at.

just ordered a couple of these (10 dollar minimum order)--hope they work

found a mounting plate from another member---might order the springs from Mylstar

thanks!!

Ignore my comment about drilling the pot shaft. You said steering wheel pot but my brain saw gas pedal pot. :)
