Why the heck do you want a spectrum analyzer?

It isn't for anything arcade-related, is it?

Not for arcade use. I have few clients with proximity reading devices connected to various gates and doorways that I troubleshoot. It will help in concealing the readers while still allowing them to be accessible by users in different vehicle types.

Wiegand electrical protocol @ 125 kHz

You probably don't need a 3GHz analyzer, if that's the case. You could get away with something much cheaper.

Could program an Adriano for the task but want to expand my testing capabilities to include wifi, 4G & 5G signals. The rural area I spend my summers at most residence rely on cell signal for internet as well as wifi repeaters set up around the neighborhood. I am fortunate to have gig service at my place from the local co-op but 95% of the residence are to far out of the way to get service. Perhaps within the next few years but not this year. It is a source of frustration for both full time residence and those who stay for vacations. Would be good uses for that purpose as well.

Outside of a lab environment, the portable handheld SA are the way to go.

Some useful recommendations against the unit I was most interested in. The Agilent N9340B is what I am looking at now.

8/10 KLOV collectors did not like PIXELS. But I did. Everyone has an opinion (right or wrong). (YMMV)
