Looking to buy a set of Space Zap boards, preferably working, at a reasonable price. It doesn't have to be complete, but must have the unique boards for the game.

Thanks!

There is only one unique board to Space Zap. It's the board the harness plugs into, the game/memory board. The RAM (x 2), Pattern and CPU are all on Roby Roto, Gorf, Wizard Of Wor and Space Zap (and the cage itself) are all fully interchangeable.

I have a full set of tested working Space Zap boards, RAM, RAM, Pattern, CPU, Game (the one unique one), except I don't have the generic cage. I was going to be posting them for sale next week.

I would rather not break up the set, but since I don't have a cage, I might consider it. I was thinking $100 for the 5 board set. I know that's a pretty high price for a dog of a game, but its based on 4 of the 5 boards being able to be used in the other games. I figured $20 each for the 5 working boards that make up the set, which is in line with the price of $125 that I sold a few Gorf boardsets in the last two weeks.

for a dog of a game

What!?!?.....Dog, shut your mouth Joe Magiera!;) Space Zap is a great game.....highly underated.

Oh yeah, Extra Bases also uses the same cage/board set up....with the same RAM cards (x 2), pattern board, and CPU board......but with it's own unique game/memory board.

That's one of the things I love about this hobby, different people (even good friends) can like totally different games and that's all ok.

Yes, what a great sales pitch by me, "hey pay this price for a game I hate and think is terrible". Even though I played it a fair amount in the arcade days (probably while waiting for other games to open up), I always thought it was one of the worst games ever. But I do think it's good that you like it. Just goes to show, for every game out there, there's someone that loves it and someone that hates it. I happen to hate Star Wars too, and I know I'm in the extreme minority on that one.

Oh yeah, I forgot, there I go trying to sound like an expert on the PCB boardset set up, when in truth, I posed that exact question about a month ago and it was Edward that gave me all the details!

Outta my price range, sorry.....but I'd love to see some pictures of it. I've never seen or heard of one like this. Sounds cool!

Space Zap

I have a Space Zap Cabaret that I may be willing to sell or part out. The cabinet is in very good condition. When you turn on the game you get no picture and no sound.

space zap proto

Hi:
What is plastic in production games is carved of wood on the proto.
It has 4400 plays and was rescued from the home of a neighbor of an executive.
Just for the record
