looking for

Midway Space Invaders Plexi Bezel - in good nick

Midway Space Invaders black light flouro fitting (the one the moon background mounts on) - the folded metal work is the only essential item! the rest can be refitted from local components if necessary.

Midway Space invaders or Pacman Cocktail style push button mains on off switch and indented mounting plate (only if its not attached to a harness or from a wrecked harness, as I already have a harness [just missing the switch and plate!] and wouldnt want one cannibalised to supply it)

Midway Space Invaders Coin Box

Many thanks in advance!

shipping to australia.

I think I have this piece. Is is attached to the plastic moon piece?

thanks for the reply!

yes thats the one - see pic out of manual below - its the whole fitting i need! but i can reassemble one even if i can just get the main metalwork itself..

Black light tube specs for the moon illumination

can anyone advise the make/model of blacklight tube used in the original midway SI ?

i am looking at blacklight tub specs at the moment and so far all generate uv and the specs advise wearing protective eyewear if using the light a lot.

so i guess what i am asking is whether there are "blacklight" tubes that either dont generate any UV, or minimal/none of the harmful uv wavelengths. i guess i need to do more research on this.

Really?

Protective eyewear for the blacklight? Haha.. I've never heard of that.. Guess I'm gonna go blind from all the nights in college staring at my glowing posters..

Just pick up a plain old blacklight at walmart.. If they have those in your part of the world.. That's what I've installed in all my SI, SID, and other games that called for them.. Heh, I'd worry more about the radiation from the picture tube :)
