Great game. Interesting twist on the Bubble Bobble style of gameplay. I remember going to S. Korea one summer (I want to say it was 1990) and the game had just released and was in every single arcade.

Back then, Koreans got a good deal on "quarters." Their currency is called "Won" and 1000 Won is roughly equivalent to a US dollar. But when you would put 1000 Won in the change machine, you'd get 10 100 Won coins. And most games only required 100 Won. So it was more like "tenths." That blew me away.

I visited again in 2005 and, like here, arcades are limited to movie theaters and are run down. Their internet cafes are the big thing where kids spend all their time playing Star Craft.

Sorry for the huge tangent. Your post brought back memories. Free bump and good luck with finding the kit! :)

EDIT: Probably not what you're looking for, but here's a bootleg PCB on QA - http://quarterarcade.com/Game.aspx/6761

hey thanks for the story man! always cool to hear.

i actually had this game in a decent cabinet with bezel, cpo and marquee and it worked perfect. But i sold it a few years ago, because i figured the nes version would hold me over, but realized how much i miss it now lol :(, (and the nes version sucks compared) I dont have the guys number who i sold it too either, so now im on a hunt to build one. Plus it was my wife's favorite arcade game i owned lol.

Aw man. Yeah, if you have a game that the wife loves, I would say never let it go. :)

hehe yea i normally dont, but at the time i was like "well we have the NES version if ya ever wanna play it" but after a while it just dont feel the same as the arcade version. plus the graphics aren't as nice and smooth.

I completely agree. As much fun as the NES version is, it doesn't do the arcade justice. That's kind of how I felt about DK. I thought it was a decent game on the NES until I finally played the arcade version and realized I got conned with the NES port. Haha.

Still looking for something.....anything please lol

I got outbid on the pcb on ebay :-(, would love to buy it as a nos kit though, and am willing to drop top dollar for it too. My wife wants this game badly!
