WTB : Sega Naomi 2 mainboard & Wild Riders Cart

Okay I bought a cabinet and was listed as working (well kind of) and seems the mainboard is dead, as nothing comes up on screen or no sounds, I tested same cabinet with a Naomi 1 mainboard and all good, so looking to buy a mainboard and cart if price is right, or will trade for naomi carts, other arcade stuff :) Thanks

yeah, our Wild Riders was finnicky too. had to reseat the cart about 40 times and finally it wouldn't lock up anymore.

game looks amazing since I fixed the monitor for it.

well the problem with mine was the 2 GPU fans on the mainboard, they were so full of dirt, that basically they didnt spin at all, so mobo shut down, (so no video or audio) just leds on powerup, stripped down the board, cleaned the fans out and they spun albeit noisy and rough, but game came back to life! so got new fans for it, and its been working ever since, game looks amazing with its cell graphics, on a nice Sanwa monitor (I replaced the original WG model)

I too had that problem with the fans being gunked up to the point that they wouldn't spin. never shut down though, the game would either give an error where it couldn't read the cart or it would load and would lock up in random intervals. I think the latter may have been power related... had some Sega stuff with 3.3V not being adjusted right and would cause lock-ups.

other NAOMI 1 games we got haven't exhibited any abnormalities like these however, but now that I said it, they'll probably all die tomorrow or something. :)
