Trying to fix an Error 24 on a GD-Rom drive for a Chihiro system and am told that it could be the lens and I could try getting it from a Dreamcast.

Will buy just the lens, the whole system or if you know another way to fix this, let me know. The game worked when putting it into storage and now no longer works after winter.

Error 24
Display: GD-ROM IS NOT FOUND.
Cause: The NAOMI GD-ROM disk can not be recognized.
Countermeasures: Reinsert the NAOMI GD-ROM disk. Make sure that the GD-ROM disk is not scratched or contaminated.

if that drive is just like a dreamcast, there is a blue pot on the top of the pcb just under the disk tray, you can try adjusting it. that is how i fixed my dreamcast

Thanks. I will try that. Is there somewhere to measure what is changing while I turn the pot or did you just take a shot in the dark and it worked for you?

It was a long time ago but as i recall i just tweeked it a little one way and that did not work so i tweeked it just a bit the other way, ITs been working ever since. and that had to be about 5 years ago
