I'm looking to buy two San Francisco Rush The Rock arcade games. I'm really only interested in original RTR's (the ones that come apart) in decent condition at this time.

I realize this might take a while, so unless I update this thread, yes, I am still looking.

The originals did NOT come apart. That was the later builds.

The one-piece ones roll waaaaaay better, if that matters to you. The two piece ones flex too much and are a pain to move.

The 2-piece units were dedicated Rush The Rock Alcatraz, the one piece were original San Fran Rush and in many cases upgraded to Alcatraz. I've been through several of both over the years. The 2-piece units IMO are much easier to move in\out of basements. I've done some single units but usually have to resort to tearing a lot of the game apart to lighten it enough to do it.

OP should think about going to the next adventureland auction - my current one came from there for $25 and I only needed to swap the chassis and replace the HDD with a compact flash conversion to have a nice looking\working game.

If you are near St. Paul Summit Amusements has one for sale (and they deliver!)

and there is one in this auction in Minneapolis (though I'm currently the high bidder :p)

Thanks, those aren't original RTR's, but I may check out the first one just because it would be very convenient.

Yes, that is one of the reasons I would like this version. Another is the side art.

Do you have any information on the next one?

I can't believe it's been three years since I posted this, but I am still looking every day. In all this time I've seen exactly two for sale and both went to local buyers before I could arrange for shipping.

I wasn't able to go to any of the Iowa auctions, but I have been checking out their website.

I promised I would update this thread if I was no longer looking, so here it is. 2021 turned out to be the year. I now have two. One of them is turning out to be quite a project, so I'm sure I'll be asking some questions. The other one only had force feedback issues and I was able to get that fixed based on information from this site. So thank you everyone, I think I'm done buying arcade machines for a while. :)
